Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

At what age should I take my newborn for the first pediatric visit?

It’s recommended to visit a pediatrician within the first week after birth, typically around 3–5 days of age, to monitor the baby’s overall health, feeding, and weight.

Children require a series of vaccinations starting at birth. Your pediatrician will provide a vaccination schedule covering essential immunizations to protect against diseases like polio, measles, hepatitis, and more.

Regular check-ups are essential. Infants should be seen every few months, while toddlers and older children typically need annual visits for growth tracking and preventive care.

If your child is not meeting age-appropriate milestones (like walking, talking, or responding to sounds), it’s best to consult your pediatrician for an evaluation.

If your child has a fever above 100.4°F (38°C), especially if it persists for more than a day or is accompanied by other symptoms, you should seek pediatric care immediately.
